PRAYERS ARE SELDOM ANSWERED

PRAYERS ARE SELDOM ANSWERED
Your “prayers not answered” means your “expectations not fulfilled.” The TAO wisdom explains why: your attachments to careers, money, relationships, and success “make” but also “break” you by creating your flawed ego-self that demands your “expectations to be fulfilled.”

Wisdom to Understand

The Chinese Proverbs

"People differ in life, but not in death." Yang Zhu

"he higher the rank I attain, the more humble I behave. The greater my power, the less I exercise it. The richer my wealth, the more I give away. Thus I avoid envy, spite, and misery." Sun Shu Ao

"The blind cannot see, for they have no eyes. The deaf cannot hear, for they have no ears. You do not understand, for you have no spirit." Lian Shu

The opposite of pride is humility. With pride, you think you know a lot, and so you don't want to learn more. You cannot see, you cannot hear, and you have no spirit to know more. Pride comes from your status, your power, and your wealth. With pride, you erroneously believe that you can control everything in your life, and that you are "different" from others. The ultimate truth is that we are all the same when death arrives. So, the most important thing in your life is your understanding which comes only from your humility.
